This collection of black and whites are dedicated to Ted Wahlfeld. The proprietor of “The Mill” in Peoria Illinois. He gave me a grand tour and allowed me to photograph through my eyes. These are my historical interpretations of the historical wood mill. The building is currently in use by artists of all media.

I love this photo.

The composition is fantastic. The balance of color perfection, mind stimulation as to its use.

“The Door to No Where”

Your wonder where does this door go? Why is it up so high? Did the floor fall out from beneath it? The answer is that it is a fire door used when the Mill was in production.

“Freight Elevator and Forgotten Broom”

The elevator is currently in use. It’s the primary mode of transportation to move about the building. The fire door is in plain view showing how it would close in case of a fire. This building is so large that I am sure the person who was using the broom can’t fine it!
